"Low Oil" light on...but theres plenty of oil..help>>
OK, I've put my car away about a month ago, but decided to take it out for a spin today...it was a nice day, couln't pass it up. Anyways, I start the car, and the "Low" oil light stays lit. hmm..pressure is good. Shut it off, go check the dipstick...lots of oil. Start the car a second time...no light. So this is with a cold motor. So I go for my cruise, come home let the car sit for about 1/2 hour...go to move it into the garage...start the car..."Low Oil" light comes on again. Shut it off, and restart it...and the light goes out.
Is this a bad sender unit? Its a 95 Lt1...the unit on the side of the oil pan I take? or is it something else? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Jay |
